Leahy is a member of the firm's Estate Planning, Business Succession, Tax and Probate Law practices, having provided counsel to many wealthy New Hampshire citizens and corporate clients. She concentrates her practice in the areas of estate planning and administration, trust administration and foundations, charities and nonprofit organizations.
In addition to Maine, she is admitted to practice in the state of New Hampshire as well as the N.H. Federal District Court, the United States Tax Court, First Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court.
Leahy lives in Kennebunkport, Maine with her husband, Charles F. Leahy. She also maintains a small home in Concord, N.H. She has practiced law in New Hampshire for the past 36 years. With her admission to the bar in Maine, her practice will now include clients from the Seacoast area of southern Maine.
Leahy currently serves as chairman of the NEW HAMPSHIRE PROBATE COURT'S UNIFORM TRUST CODE COMMITTEE. She was the recipient of the MARILLA M. RICKER AWARD from the NEW HAMPSHIRE WOMEN'S BAR and was selected "Lawyer of the Year" by the MERRIMACK COUNTY BAR ASSOCIATION. She holds an undergraduate degree from MOUNT HOLYOKE COLLEGE and a J.D. from BOSTON UNIVERSITY SCHOOL OF LAW.

In his role, Dattilo oversees the care of all patients and is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the facility. Dattilo, who has more than 10 years experience in the Seacoast area as a physical therapist, is also a partner of the business.
A graduate of Northeastern University with a degree in physical therapy, Dattilo also received advanced training in orthopaedic manual therapy and is certified as a manual therapist. In addition, he has received certification in pedorthics from Eneslow Pedorthic Institute in New York.
STEPHEN T. SWALLOW, DDS, of Kittery, Maine, was elected vice president of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry's northeast district.
Established in 1951, the AAID is the oldest implant organization in the world. The academy is the only implant organization that offers implant credentials protected by federal court decisions. Its membership, which exceeds 3,200, includes general dentists, oral surgeons, periodontists and prosthodontists from across the United States and in 40 other countries. Dr. Swallow graduated from the University of Richmond with a bachelor of science degree in chemistry. He earned his doctor of dental surgery degree from the Medical College of Virginia, Virginia Commonwealth University. He has a general practice of dentistry in Kittery.
Professor ANDREW ROSENBERG of the UNIVERSITY OF NEW HAMPSHIRE'S INSTITUTE FOR THE STUDY OF EARTH, OCEANS, AND SPACE and the Department of Natural Resources has been named an AAAS Fellow by the AMERICAN ASSOCIATION FOR THE ADVANCEMENT OF SCIENCE, the world's largest general scientific society. Rosenberg was cited for his "distinguished professional and public service and scientific contributions that advance policies in support of sound ocean ecosystem management." He is former deputy director of the NATIONAL OCEANIC AND ATMOSPHERIC ADMINISTRATION'S NATIONAL MARINE FISHERIES SERVICE, former commissioner on the presidentially appointed U.S. COMMISSION ON OCEAN POLICY, and currently serves as chairman of the CENSUS OF MARINE LIFE U.S. NATIONAL COMMITTEE.

Lawyer and state Sen. MARGARET WOOD HASSAN has joined PIERCE ATWOOD LLP in the law firm's employment and employee benefit practice groups. She will work out of the law firm's Portsmouth and Concord offices. Hassan was formerly with SULLIVAN WEINSTEIN & MCQUAY, P.C. A graduate of BROWN UNIVERSITY, Hassan received her law degree from NORTHEASTERN UNIVERSITY SCHOOL OF LAW. She and her family live in Exeter.
RIVERWOODS AT EXETER retirement community re-elected members of the Executive Committee to serve an additional term of three years. The re-elected officers are: RAYMOND J. FRANCHISE BUSINESS REVIEW of Portsmouth has selected JACK BURRIS as its vice president of marketing and development. He will be responsible for all advertising sales and marketing efforts of the company. Burris, formerly the director of advertising and marketing of the International Franchise Association, oversaw all marketing and development for the oldest franchise organization in the world. Burris, a graduate of the University of North Carolina, will help expand business development at Franchise Business Review, as well as assist the company with the launch of several new initiatives that will be announced in the coming months.
JEREMY DEERING has been promoted to vice president of commercial lending at Sanford Institution for Savings of Sanford, Maine. Deering, a South Berwick resident, joined Sanford Institution for Savings as assistant vice president, in the credit administration department and later served as a commercial lender. Deering has eight years of experience in the commercial lending field. He was with TD BANKNORTH for five years as a credit administrator, and has experience in commercial credit and underwriting. Deering is an active member in the YORK ROTARY INTERNATIONAL, the GREATER YORK REGION CHAMBER OF COMMERCE Ambassador's Committee, and a member of the SEACOAST BUSINESS NETWORK.
NORTHEAST HEALTH CARE QUALITY FOUNDATION of Dover recently honored Chief Executive Officer ROBERT A. AURILIO on 30 years of service to the organization. At a recent celebration in Concord, the board of directors and staff of NHCQF paid tribute to Aurilio's career and many accomplishments and his personal dedication to the cause of improving health care quality. During his tenure at NHCQF, Aurilio has guided the organization in its transition from Professional Standards Review Organization to its present role as Quality Improvement Organization for Medicare for the northern New England states. Aurilio has served on state governmental committees covering various topics in public health and health care delivery and costs and has also been featured as a commentator in statewide publications.

The Keene branch office welcomed new hires AMY NEEDHAM and DARLENE GAGNON as member service representatives. The Manchester Wal-Mart branch added SHANNON COCO as a financial service representative I. At the Portsmouth corporate offices, ERIC POTTER was promoted to audit assistant. In Rochester, Service Credit Union's Contact Center hired ALISHA CROTHERS as contact center representative I, and DAYNA SEWALL moves from a contact center administrative representative to an E-learning specialist. The special accounts department hired MEAGAN TORR as special accounts representative level I, and AMY STEVENS was promoted to special accounts representative, level II.
In Portsmouth, LAUREN ALISEO was hired as member service representative I. The soon-to-open Portsmouth Wal-Mart location will have Branch Manager STEVE BALDIGA, and Financial Services Supervisor SARAH FISHER.

ANGELA DANSEREAU in Keene was promoted from member service representative II. At the Manchester Wal-Mart branch, KELLY LETTERMAN was hired as a financial services representative I. Financial Service Representatives HEATHER GAUTHIER and MISTY GILPATRICK join the team at the Newington Wal-Mart branch. In Rochester, the Service Credit Union's Contact Center promoted MELISSA BLOCKLAND to contact center representative II. THE TIMBERLAND COMPANY of Stratham has appointed DENNIS JENSON as vice president of business development and licensing and BRIAN MOORE as vice president, global product development for Men's Authentic Youth.
Jenson will be responsible for planning and identifying growth opportunities for the Timberland enterprise. Jenson was most recently vice president of SIMON PEARCE, a luxury home products retailer, and is a former president of THE BURTON CORPORATION where he was instrumental in establishing Burton Snowboards as a market-leading global brand.
Moore will be responsible for product design and development for Timberland's Youth consumer. Before joining Timberland, he held executive positions at GRAVIS FOOTWEAR, SAUCONY and NEW BALANCE. Moore, a graduate of BRANDEIS UNIVERSITY, also served on the board of directors for the GREATER BOSTON TRACK CLUB, where he also volunteered as a coach for middle distance athletes.

ELIZABETH REMILLONG, M.D., has joined the Family Practice team at MARTIN'S POINT HEALTH CARE at Pease International Tradeport in Portsmouth. Dr. Remillong was recently at Family Health Partners in Salt Lake City, Utah. She received her doctorate of medicine degree from the UNIVERSITY OF MISSOURI "" COLUMBIA SCHOOL OF MEDICINE. She performed her Family Medicine residency at the University of Utah Department of Family and Preventative Medicine. She is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine.
BISSON BARCELONA in Barrington has promoted ALLISON MCKAY to publicist. McKay is responsible for implementing client campaigns, securing media interviews, arranging events, writing news releases and conducting research. She is a published writer whose article titled "Right Questionnaire Nets Right Results" was published in the October 2006 issue of the WOMEN'S BUSINESS BOSTON JOURNAL. McKay earned her Bachelor of Science degree in business studies with a concentration in marketing from SOUTHERN NEW HAMPSHIRE UNIVERSITY.

SARAH W. HOLLAND, MD, plastic surgeon at YORK PLASTIC SURGERY AND AESTHETIC CENTER in York, Maine, attended the Advances in Aesthetic Plastic Surgery: The Cutting Edge VI conference in New York City on Nov. 12. This conference was offered to experienced surgeons wishing to learn newer and more complicated surgical and nonsurgical techniques. Dr. Holland attended workshops and demonstrations on a variety of surgical advances including face lifting, endoscopic facial surgery, short incision face lifting, neck lifting, sutural suspension technique, brow lifting, and cosmetic surgery of the eyelids, nose, and breast. Botox, other injectibles, lasers, liposuction and post-bariatric surgery were also covered.
KATHY BOGLE SHIELDS has taken the helm of the New Hampshire COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT FINANCE AUTHORITY (CDFA), located in Concord, as the organization's executive director. For the last decade, Shields led external relations efforts for Providian Financial, including the nationally recognized Providian Child Care Initiative. She currently serves on the board of the Northern New England Housing Investment Fund, the NH Main Street Center and St. Joseph Community Services. She holds an MBA from the Whittemore School of Business at the University of New Hampshire.
