UNITED WAY OF THE GREATER SEACOAST recognized ROXANNE JEWELL, HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER at BRAZONICS, Inc., as the 2005 EMPLOYEE CAMPAIGN MANAGER. Jewell has been employed at the Hampton-based manufacturing firm and served as the workplace campaign manager for UNITED WAY for the past 10 years. In 2005, Jewell and her seven-person committee orchestrated an annual campaign where total contributions through payroll deduction were up 20 percent over the previous year. AIDS RESPONSE-Seacoast, the AIDS service organization that provides direct assistance to persons living with HIV/AIDS and prevention education programs for the Seacoast, has announced the appointment of ANNE RUGG as their new EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR. Rugg began her career working in direct service, case management, and advocacy for people living with developmental disabilities. She went on to become the founding executive director of THE HOUSING PARTNERSHIP in 1987, a nonprofit affordable housing agency based in Portsmouth, until 2002 when she and her husband started their own garden-art company in Eliot, Maine. "Creating a business has been an exciting and challenging endeavor," Rugg wrote in a letter to the ARS Search Committee. "But I am now ready and eager to get back to my life’s work - being of service to the community."
