York, Maine, has hired MICHAEL MANDRAVELIS as a new agent. He
formerlyworked as a billing agent at Nationwide Insurance and brings
15 years of personal and commercial insurance experience to his new
position. Mandravelis will work on personal, home, auto and commercial
sales at Tapley Insurance. He’s licensed to work in both Maine
and New Hampshire and also holds experience with property, casualty
and life insurance.
THE NATIONAL ALLIANCE ON MENTAL ILLNESS honored EFFIE MALLEY with the
Presidents Award at their meeting and awards banquet. The award
recognized Malley for her outstanding contribution towards ending
stigma and promoting effective treatment for mental illness. Malley
shared the award with ELAINE FRANK, director of the Injury Prevention
Center at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center. Malley has worked for
the past five years as the director of the Suicide Prevention
Partnership. Malley’s knowledge of suicide prevention, her local
and national contacts and her strategic vision have contributed to the
success of the suicide prevention projects in NH and around the
country. Malley has also been an active member of the Youth Suicide
Prevention Assembly, the State Suicide Prevention Council and she led
the effort to develop a NH State Suicide Prevention Plan.

MORGAN STANLEY announced that a financial adviser in the firm’s
Portsmouth office has joined its exclusive Wealth Advisor Group. PAUL
KINNALY joined the group, which provides customized investment
strategies for affluent clients looking to manage, grow, preserve and
transition their wealth. He has been with Morgan Stanley since 2000.
He received his bachelor’s degree from Dartmouth College, and is
a certified financial planner practitioner and a chartered financial
consultant. Kinnaly resides in Hampton Falls with his wife and two
children.
CAROLYN FETTER, founder and president of SPECIALIZED CARE COMPANY
received that 2006 Harold Berk Award. Fetter was the first non-dentist
ever to receive the award since its institution in 1992. The award is
given annually by Special Care Dentistry and the Academy of Dentistry
for Persons with Disabilities to an individual for exemplary
leadership and contributions to the advancement of oral health care
for persons with disabilities. Fetter has developed products designed
specifically for patients who do not have the ability to cooperate
with dental professionals. Fetter is a member of the Academy of
Dentistry for Persons with Disabilities where she served on the board
for 10 years, and is a fellow in the organization. She was also
involved in launching the Dental Screening Program of the Special
Olympics Special Smiles initiative.
ANDREA L. DALY, a litigation attorney with McLANE, GRAF, RAULERSON
& MIDDLETON, professional association, has been elected to the
board of the New Hampshire chapter of the National Alliance on Mental
Illness, the nation’s largest grassroots mental health
organization dedicated to improving the lives of persons living with
serious mental illness and their families through advocacy, research,
support, and education. Daly’s law practice focuses heavily on
mental health and probate actions, including administrative
proceedings before licensing boards, risk management in mental health
matters, guardianship proceedings, durable power of attorney abuses
and fiduciary duty challenges. She is also a member of the Board of
Governors of the Warner House Association and of the Board of
Directors of Pro Portsmouth, Inc. Daly received her undergraduate
degree from Boston University, cum laude, in 1991 and her J.D. degree
from Vermont Law School, magna cum laude, in 1997. She resides in
Portsmouth with her family.
BRAD KINSEY, an assistant professor of mechanical engineering in the
UNIVERSITY OF NEW HAMPSHIRE’S COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING AND
PHYSICAL SCIENCES received the Ralph R. Teetor Educational Award. The
award is given to 10 mechanical engineering professors worldwide by
the Society of Automotive Engineers. Kinsey was presented with the
education award during the SAE 2006 World Congress in Detroit. Kinsey
is the faculty adviser for the school’s Robotics Club.
KATHLEEN SOLDATI joined THE MUSIC HALL as director of marketing. She
will be responsible for overseeing live event and cinema marketing for
the performing arts center. Soldati was a principal in Soldati Public
Relations, and has over 30 years experience in corporate and nonprofit
management and marketing. She has held positions at JSA Architects,
New Hampshire Public Television, and the League of New Hampshire
Craftsmen. The previous director of marketing, MARGARET TALCOTT, moves
to a new position as director of strategic communications where she
will manage select marketing programs.
Rabbi LEV BAESH graduated from the 2006 LEADERSHIP NEW HAMPSHIRE
CLASS. Baesh graduated from the 10-month program that selects, trains
and builds a network of leaders for the state of New Hampshire. Baesh
has been the rabbi at Temple Israel of Dover for the past eleven
years. He also taught Bio Ethics at the University of New Hampshire.
Baesh resides with his partner in Rollinsford.
SERVICE CREDIT UNION has hired new employees and made staffing changes
at two local branches. In Portsmouth, CESAR ESPINDOLA joins the
corporate office as the project analyst in the marketing department.
SHANNON FRANCOIS has been promoted to ACH specialist and BRETT WARD
moves to host systems analyst in the information technology
department. In Rochester, ETHAN ROGERS joins the Credit Union’s
Contact Center as a Contact Center Representative I.
NORTHEAST CREDIT UNION promoted JULIE ROY to assistant vice president
of financial operations. Roy will be responsible for overseeing all
ATM operations and strategy, cash management, checking and savings
drafts, automatic and direct deposits and debit and credit card
processing. Roy has more than 24 years experience working at Northeast
Credit Union, most recently as financial operations manager. Roy is a
member of the International Association of Financial Crimes
Investigators.
BRESETTE & CO hired MICHELLE ARSENAULT as director of client
services. Prior to joining Bresette, Arsenault was the senior program
manager for the General Motors account at Mullen Advertising. She also
worked as an account manager at Mullen Advertising on accounts such
as, XM Radio, Sesame Street, and Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts.
Arsenault started her advertising, marketing and interactive media
career at Jack Morton Worldwide in Chicago.
STEWART TITLE OF NORTHERN NEW ENGLAND has hired LYNN C. MCLAREN as the
Seacoast/ Strafford marketing director. McLaren has more than 30 years
of real estate experience, both in mortgage lending and real estate
closings. She received the Seacoast Board of Realtor’s Affiliate
of the Year award in 1999, 2002, 2003 and 2004. McLaren is a member of
the Portsmouth Rotary Club, Board of Directors for Big Brother/Big
Sisters of the Greater Seacoast and Seacoast Youth Services.
TD BANKNORTH INC. has announced that R. SCOTT BACON, president and CEO
of TD Banknorth New Hampshire, will take on corporate-wide
responsibilities as executive vice president for investments and
insurance. Bacon will oversee investments, wealth management, and
insurance for TD Banknorth Inc., which operates in eight Northeastern
states. Bacon will continue to serve as president and CEO of TD
Banknorth New Hampshire, a position he has held since 1997. In his
added corporate role, Bacon will succeed MICKEY GREENE, who is
retiring later this year. “Scott has demonstrated exceptional
leadership in his current position,” said WILLIAM J. RYAN,
chairman and CEO of TD Banknorth Inc. “We look forward to his
ongoing contributions to the company as we continue to grow.”
Bacon joined TD Banknorth New Hampshire, then known as Bank of New
Hampshire, in 1983. He has 31 years of banking experience.
APPLEDORE ENGINEERING, INC. added three new engineers to the
consulting firm. DWIGHT SNOW has worked in the engineering field in
both Maine and New Hampshire. He graduated from the University of
Massachusetts in 1999. Snow is a member of the Eliot Sewer Committee
& Planning Board and resides in Eliot, Maine. KENNETH MAVROGEORGE
held internships with NH DOT and Appledore Engineering while pursuing
his BSCE from the University of New Hampshire. Mavrogeorge graduated
in May with honors, and is a member of the ASCE. KEITH STANISEWSKI
worked as an engineer in Portland, Maine before joining Appledore.
Stanisewski graduated from the University of New Hampshire in 2004. He
has experience in construction administration and water treatment
design and drainage. Stanisewski will work as a site/civil project
engineer.
MAGGIE TOMASWICK has joined the product engineering department at
BESWICK ENGINEERING CO., INC. of Greenland. Tomaswick will be
responsible for the companies development and evolution of products
and improvements in manufacturing, testing, assembly, fabrication, and
quality assurance.Tomaswick received her MSMFE from Worcester
Polytechnic Institute, where she also received her BSMFE.
SARAH HOLLAND, M.D. has joined YORK HOSPITAL as a member of the
medical staff and the Department of Surgery. Holland recently opened a
plastic surgery practice in York. She has spent the past two years as
a full time faculty member at Columbia University in the Department of
Surgery. Holland moved to York with her husband and three daughters.
