ROBIN VIOLETTE of Manchester has been hired by NORTON INSURANCE of Portsmouth as account executive, commercial lines. Violette, a Manchester resident, who brings more than 20 years of insurance industry experience to her position, will be responsible for new business development in New Hampshire.

NEIL SULLIVAN, MD has announced the hiring licensed esthetician LAINEY HUNTER to join the staff at VASCULAR VEIN AND SKIN CARE.

The GREATER DOVER CHAMBER OF COMMERCE elected the following officers for 2007 at their August meeting: Chair, STEPHEN VIEL of Seacoast Telecom; Chair-Elect, LINDA HAGAN of Jewelry Creations; Vice-Chair, STEPHEN BATZA of Liberty Mutual; and Treasurer, PAM SIMPSON of Harvey's Bakery. PHIL RINALDI of Dover Secretarial Services will serve as Past-Chairman.

DR. MICHAEL REMENTER has joined the staff at DUKE FAMILY CHIROPRACTIC on Lafayette Road. Rementer graduated in June from Palmer Chiropractic College in Davenport, Iowa.

BOTTOMLINE TECHNOLOGIES of Portsmouth has named MICHAEL KOSEK vice president and general manager. Kosek most recently served as general manager of New England operations for Microsoft.

THE PROVIDENT BANK announced has hired CHRIS MACDONNELL as vice president of commercial and municipal services. He is located in the Amesbury, Mass., office will be responsible for The Provident Bank's expansion and growth of commercial and municipal services for the bank's entire marketplace. MacDonnell worked most recently as a regional vice president with Ocean National Bank in Portsmouth where he was responsible for 18 branches in Maine and the Seacoast. MacDonnell resides in South Berwick, Maine with his wife, Shelley and their two children.

DREW MORTGAGE ASSOCIATES of Portsmouth has hired CATHERINE MURPHY as a mortgage planner. Murphy has been in the mortgage industry for several years and has extensive experience working with first-time home buyers. She resides in Dover and will focus on the Seacoast market of New Hampshire and Maine.

JEWETT CONSTRUCTION CO. has added ROB SECINARO to its project management staff. Secinaro, a New Durham resident, has more than 20 years of experience in the construction industry and formerly served as project manager and superintendent for Windsor Construction in Andover, Mass.

SARAH WATKINS, the store manager for CVS/PHARMACY in Portsmouth, recently helped throw a ceremonial first pitch at a Boston Red Sox game at Fenway Park. Red Sox pitchers Curt Schilling and Mike Timlin helped CVS/pharmacy present more than $2.1 million to ALS Therapy Alliance. Watkins' store raised the most money per customer count during the customer donation campaign.

SERVICE CREDIT UNION announced new hires and staffing changes at five locations. In Portsmouth, at Service Credit Union's Corporate Offices, new hires included LISA MCFARLAND, executive assistant to the vice president for lending, and JENNIFER JONES as product marketing officer. ERIC POTTER moved from a representative at the contact center in Rochester to executive assistant to the chief internal audit. The Pease branch office welcomed new MSR I KILEY RIVIEZZO and promoted AMANDA GULICK from member service supervisor I to member service supervisor II.

SHARLA HENNESSEY has joined the KELLY REALTY ASSOCIATES in Salisbury, Mass., as a residential salesperson working with buyers and sellers and specializing in the greater Newburyport area. Hennessey is a memebr of the Greater Newburyport Association of Realtors, the Massachusetts Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors.

JAY GIBSON, president of Piscataqua Savings Bank of Portsmouth, recently announced the appointment of new bank corporators. They are: VINCENT TACCETTA III of New Castle who is president of NorthEast Auto Auction (Kittery) and owner of Ricker Lobster Company (New Castle); GLENN A MARTIN, a native of North Hampton who works at REMAX Coast to Coast (Portsmouth) and has 20 years of experience in residential real estate and new construction; SUZANNE M. LOYD of Rye Beach, owner of Loyd and Company (Rye), a fabric company offering interior design and fine accessories;and SUSAN G. WOLF of Rye, president and owner of F.A. Gray Inc. Paint and Wallpaper, a downtown Portsmouth business that has been in her family since 1902.

GREAT EAST TITLE SERVICES announced that LORA PIATTI has joined the company as relationship manager for the Seacoast region. Lora brings 15 years of experience working in customer service in the financial services industry, most recently as a loan officer with GMAC Mortgage and prior to that as a Marketing Director with Stewart Title. Great East Title Services is a joint venture of ERA The Masiello Group and Market Street Settlement Services Group Inc. with offices throughout New Hampshire and Maine.

PORT CITY AIR INC. of Portsmouth announced that RUSS SMITH has accepted the position of avionics manager. He joins Sean Adams, recently hired chief avionics inspector, and Bryon Frobese, avionics technician, as part of Port City Air's long-term strategic plan to better take advantage of growing market opportunities. Smith will oversee avionics sales, service, and installations.

KEN STRATHIE, a mortgage consultant with BEECH FINANCIAL SERVICES LLC has attended the required training and passed the qualifying exams to earn the certified mortgage planning specialist designation granted by the CMPS Institute, Ann Arbor, Michigan. The institute trains and certifies mortgage professionals in the methods and strategies necessary to integrate prudent and suitable mortgage financing with sound financial planning concepts.
