Randy Potter has joined Citizens Mortgage of NH, as a loan officer. Potter, a Dover resident, works out of the Citizens Bank branch in Portsmouth. He has been in the mortgage banking business for 15 years, the last five in New Hampshire.

Christian O. Smith, P.E., has become a partner and principal in the civil engineering and land surveying firm of Beals Associates, PLLC of Exeter. Smith joined the firm in January 2003 as the Director of Engineering and joins Lawrence M. Beals and Kenneth A. Berry in the ownership team.

Service Credit Union has announced new hires and staffing changes at five locations. Melissa Grenier has joined the Portsmouth branch office as a member service representative. Nancy Layton moves from manager of marketing to a newly formed position of manager of community financial education. At the Salem branch, Melissa Pacheco has been promoted to member service representative. In Rochester, Jennifer Grassi has been promoted to member service representative. Brittney Spohr moved into the Contact Center as contact center representative. Contact Center promotions include Stacy Bonan and Nina Boucher both moving from CCR level II to CCR level III status. Peggy Pulsifer has joined the special accounts department as administrative representative. The business analysis team promoted Bill Stand to assistant vice president, member services. Debbie Laurion was promoted to manager, business analysis. The position of manager, sales and service has been filled by Michael Warrell, promoted from manager, shared branching and sales.

Provident Bank announced that Michelle Eusebio has taken the position of assistant branch manager at the Portsmouth office. Eusebio, a Rochester resident, was hired in May as the assistant branch manager of Provident’s Seabrook office. The New Hampshire native is a 2006 graduate of Southern New Hampshire University with a degree in business studies. Eusebio previously worked as a customer service representative for TD Banknorth and at McIntosh College as the associate director of student finance.

Kathy MacQuarrie and Michael Langmaid have joined the Stratham office of Carlson GMAC Real Estate as full-time sales agents. MacQuarrie has extensive customer service including years of employment in the airline industry. Langmaid has lived and worked in the Hampton and exeter areas for more than 20 years and has extensive knowledge of the local communities and the real estate market.

Kevin D. Poliquin has been promoted to assistant vice president in retail branch operations at TD Banknorth New Hampshire in Portsmouth. A project specialist, he will continue to manage projects pertaining to branch operations, bank policy and procedures, as well as manage the intranet-based form preparation system and administrate the intranet-based document library, providing resource tools for the retail branch network. Poliquin, who has 12 years of banking industry experience, joined TD Banknorth in 1994. An Exeter resident, he volunteers with Pro Portsmouth.

Joanne M. Small has been promoted to assistant vice president at TD Banknorth Maine in Kittery. As customer sales and service manager, she will continue to manage sales, including mortgages and term life insurance, and oversee day-to-day operations of the branch located at 30 State Road. Small joined TD Banknorth in 1991 and has 26 years in banking. She previously has served as a customer service rep and a teller. An Eliot resident, Small volunteers as the chairperson of Boy Scouts Troop 340 in Eliot.

George V. Dow has been appointed vice president in the government banking division at TD Banknorth New Hampshire in Concord. He will be responsible for providing TD Banknorth specialized products and services to municipalities, utilities and public schools throughout the state of New Hampshire. A Kittery Point, Maine, resident, Dow is heavily involved in community activities and civic organizations, including the Kittery Rotary Club.

Brian M. Rodents, principal of Coastal Architects of Kittery Point, Maine, has accepted the position of vice president of building science and architecture with Chatwin Engineering in British Columbia, Canada.

Home Health and Hospice has hired Laurie Long RN, as branch manager in their Portsmouth location. Long will be responsible for the agency’s operations and growth in providing home health and hospice care in southern New Hampshire, Maine and northern Masssachusetts. Long has more than 20 years of nursing experience, with expertise in clinical practice management, case management, marketing, occupational/rehab nursing & quality assurance.

Michael A. Guarino has been promoted to vice president at TD Banknorth Insurance Agency, Inc. He will continue to be responsible for selling commercial insurance lines to middle market companies throughout southern New Hampshire. A Lee resident, Guarino joined TD Banknorth in 2002. The Exeter native graduated from Exeter High School in 1979 and graduated from the Whittemore School of Business at the University of New Hampshire in 1984.

Jeffrey J. Fox has been promoted to senior vice president at TD Banknorth Insurance Agency, Inc. in Methuen. He will continue to be responsible for business development and sales management for the New England region, primarily in Massachusetts. A Hampton resident, Fox serves as president of the board of directors for the Richie McFarland Children’s Center in Stratham.

Daniel Gray of Portsmouth has been named chair of the Community Development Finance Authority. Gray is the managing director of Coastal Economic Development Corporation in Hampton. Other officers elected for one-year terms were: vice chair, Kathleen Moore of New Hampshire Technical Institute in Concord; and secretary-treasurer, Brian Hoffman of the Community Action Program Belknap-Merrimack Counties, Inc. in Concord.

Karin Behrens has celebrated 15 years of service at Edward Jones. She began her career in 1991 when she opened the state’s third office in Exeter. In 1994, Behrens became a limited partner with the firm and in 1999 was named a regional leader. She was named a principal with the firm in 2003. Behrens has served as president of the American Women’s Business Association and the Exeter Kiwanis Club. She lives in Exeter with her husband and two sons.

Gerry S. Weidema recently celebrated 25 years of serving small businesses and individuals with tax planning and preparation. Weidema created a partnership with Ellen Lavin to form Weidema & Lavin, CPAs. They have expanded the practice to include investment consulting. Weidma, a Stratham resident, currently serves on several nonprofit boards and is member of TD Bank North board of directors.

Linda Griebsch, a long-time champion of women’s rights, has taken the helm as executive director of The Feminist Health Center of Portsmouth.

Dover based Northeast Health Care Quality Foundation recently honored its chief executive officer, Robert A. Aurilio, on 30 years of service to the organization. At a celebration in Concord, the Board of Directors and staff of NHCQF paid tribute to Aurilio’s career and many accomplishments. During his tenure, Aurilio has guided the organization in its transition from Professional Standards Review Organization to its current role as Quality Improvement Organization for Medicare for the northern New England states.
