DYNACOTE LLC of Eliot, Maine, won the INVENTICE AWARD for "innovation in venting service, best new product for chimney consumers" at the National Chimney Sweep Guild Convention and Trade Show in April. Being the inaugural year for the award, Chris Varney, co-manager of Dynacote, LLC and vice president of Ventech Industries, could not be more pleased.
Dynacote's winning product, DC-33, is a high emissivity coating in a spray can specifically designed to be applied on the bricks of fireplace fireboxes, in order to increase the efficiency of the firebox by providing more radiant heat, according to a recent press statement.
Dynacote, run by the father-son team of MIKE and CHRIS VARNEY, is a joint venture between VENTECH INDUSTRIES, INC. of Eliot and WESSEX, INC. of Blacksburg, Va. The Vaneys have spent years in the venting industry, most notably as the founders of Ventech Industries, the leading purveyors of advanced ceramic coatings and thermal protective systems for the venting industries in North America.
MIKE MULRENAN, managing member of Stratham Physical Therapy, and JOE DATTILO, its director of treatment, announce the practice will open its second location in Epping in July.
At just under 2,000 square feet, the facility will serve as a satellite location for STRATHAM PHYSICAL THERAPY.
Additional locations are also being considered.
Stratham PT specializes in orthopedics, spine and sports medicine. The staff of sports medicine and orthopedic physical therapists treats patients of all ages, from children to high-level athletes to geriatric patients.
Stratham Physical Therapy's main location is at 64 Portsmouth Ave., Stratham.

The company also announces the appointment of GAREN STAGLIN to the company's board of directors.
Staglin served on the First Data Corporation Board of Directors from 1992 to 2002, a period in which the company grew to more than $7 billion in revenue. He is the former chief executive officer of eONE Global LP, an affiliate of First Data Corporation and provider of advanced transaction processing and payment services.
Staglin also served as CEO and chairman of Safelite Auto Glass and as group president of ADP Automotive Claims Services. CUZIN RICHARD ENTERTAINMENT is pleased to announce its newest team member, intern AMBER FRIEDMAN.

HTA\KIMBALL CHASE, located in Portsmouth, is on the design/build team selected for the UNIVERSITY OF NEW HAMPSHIRE CHASE OCEAN ENGINEERING LABORATORY addition at the Durham, New Hampshire campus. The team consists of MILESTONE ENGINEERING AND CONSTRUCTION AND WARRENSTREET ARCHITECTS.
The addition will provide expansion room for the CENTER FOR COASTAL OCEAN MAPPING and will add approximately 10,200 square feet on two levels. The primary function of the addition is to provide researchers both an open work space and presentation space.
HTA\Kimball Chase will be providing civil and structural engineering design and construction administration for the project. HTA\Kimball Chase provided civil and structural engineering services on the recently completed Gables Residence Halls that consisted of the design/build for two six story dormitories adding 400 beds to the campus and the design/build renovation of Fairchild Hall, one of the oldest dormitories on campus.
NORTHEAST CREDIT UNION (NECU) recently named Thomas (Tom) Weaver as vice president for lending.
Weaver has more than 20 years experience in the financial services industry. He joins Northeast Credit Union from his previous position as credit and sales manager for indirect lending at TD BANKNORTH NA. Prior to that, he held management positions at Fleet Bank and Clinton Savings Bank.
ROMEO TURCOTTE, foreman, town of North Hampton Public Works; and BRUCE FELCH, operator, town of Seabrook Public Works have been named a "Roads Scholar" Level 1, in a program for municipal road officials at the University of New Hampshire's Technology Transfer Center.
ROBERT RIPLEY, foreman, city of Portsmouth Public Works has been named a "Roads Scholar" Level 2; and DAVID DESFOSSES, engineering technician, city of Portsmouth Public Works, has been named a "Roads Scholar," Levels 3 and 4. Level 1 involves 30 hours of training, Level 2 encompasses 50 hours of training, and Levels 3 and 4 involve 70 training hours.
Located in the Civil Engineering Department at UNH, the Technology Transfer Center is one of 57 centers established by Congress to assist public works departments and other municipal offices concerned with maintenance of local roads.
In addition to training offered for municipal highway officials, the UNH T2 Center publishes a quarterly newsletter, provides technical assistance, maintains a video and publications library and mailing list, hosts a Web site, www.t2.unh.edu, and several listservs, for public works affiliates, and supports the NH Mutual Aid Program. It is jointly funded by the Federal Highway Administration and the New Hampshire Department of Transportation.

Held annually, the NESHCo awards receive more than 300 entries each year. Entries were submitted by agencies and in-house communication departments from across the New England area, and judged by communications professionals from a neutral region. The Lamplighters are known throughout the marketing/communications industry as awards that recognize the unique aspects of creating effective healthcare communications.
Bresette was awarded three first-place awards on behalf of WENTWORTH-DOUGLASS HOSPITAL for design of a quarterly publication, color photography and a special purpose newspaper insert. Current PMI-NH President HOWIE LYHTE, PMP, has announced that DIANE GEORGE of Dover, has been elected as president-elect for the chapter. George, a certified project management professional (PMP), will serve in this capacity for the 2007-2008 term, until assuming the role of chapter president in July 2008.
Lyhte, a senior program manager for Polycom Inc., also announced the election of LYNDA SAWICKI as chapter recording secretary. Sawicki is also a certified project management professional with 20 years of experience in the high-tech industry, seven of those years as a project manager in object-oriented, Web-based, client/server applications in the communications industry.
