SEABROOK STATION held its annual Golf Invitational to benefit UNITED WAY OF THE GREATER SEACOAST (UWGS) on Sept. 13 at Abenaqui Country Club in Rye, with outstanding results. More than 135 golfers hit the links and raised an impressive $25,000 for UWGS "" the single largest annual amount of money in the 18 years Seabrook Station has been running the tournament. Since the first tournament in 1989, more than $400,000 has been raised in support of UWGS and the Greater Seacoast community.

Along with FPL ENERGY, tournament event sponsors were WESTINGHOUSE, GE ENERGY, WILLIAMS PLANT SERVICES and the ATLANTIC GROUP. Special thanks go to Mike Lewis and Nancy O'Neil who co-organized the event, and to all who participated in the tournament.

KEN WILMAN, president of PROFILE BANK of Rochester, invited bank employees, board members and colleagues of JIM FOSS to join him on Oct. 10 for a gathering in honor of Mr. Foss. In front of a crowd of about 40, Foss was surprised to hear that the conference room in the bank's new loan center was being named in his honor, in recognition of his 43 years of dedicated service on the bank's Board of Directors.

The NEW HAMPSHIRE BUSINESS RESOURCE CENTER was recognized with five major advertising awards at the recent NORTHEASTERN ECONOMIC DEVELOPERS ASSOCIATION (NEDA) 2007 Conference held at the Sheraton Atlantic City Convention Center Hotel.

The center's campaign, developed by the Glen Group of North Conway, captured single honors in the "Single Print Ad," "Direct Mail Campaign," and "Special Events" categories as well as dual honors in the "Print Ad Campaign" category as part of NEDA's 2007 Literature & Promotions Competition. The print ads were designed as comic strips with a fictional character extolling the virtues of the free business services provided by the Business Resource Center while the "special events" ad was prominently featured in the end zone at Brady Sullivan Field during Manchester Wolves football games.

The Northeastern Economic Developers Association (NEDA) was formed in 1956 to promote economic and industrial development in the Northeastern region of the United States. The association encourages an informal exchange of ideas and serves as a medium by which its members can benefit from the experiences of other professionals.

THE HAMPTON AREA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE celebrated with RON BOUCHER, chef and owner of CHEZ BOUCHER, a top-tier French culinary school, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the new spacious education facility, located on Route 1 in Hampton (321 Lafayette Road, Unit 2). Chez Boucher's expanded new teaching facility is designed specifically for hands-on culinary arts education and immersion in classic French techniques.

The new Chez Boucher facility will offer students the space and resources necessary for active, participatory learning. In addition to featuring an impressive new line of Wolf gas stoves and ovens, Chef Ron Boucher and his team have furnished the new school with ample countertop work stations, seated teaching areas, buffet and dining spaces, and large pantry and refrigerated storage.

RUMBLETREE, a Portsmouth-based, full-service marketing agency, announces a partnership with THE COTTAGES AT HIDDEN POND, a 37-acre, extraordinary getaway in Kennebunkport, Maine, from Atlantic Holdings LLC.

Rumbletree is charged with branding The Cottages at Hidden Pond with a logo mark, tagline and interactive Web site. The first 14 Cottages at Hidden Pond are each being individually decorated by specially selected interior designers and will be nestled into the natural setting of the property. Each cottage will include a fireplace and a screen porch, perfect for an afternoon nap or a quiet dinner. The lodge will have a commercial kitchen, a library and an infinity pool. The property also features walking trails, a community garden and an artist-in-residence working from one of the small barns that will be placed amid the trees. A luxury spa will be opened in phase two. A showhouse featuring the 14 cottages and the lodge, to benefit three nonprofit organizations, will be held June 27 through July 9, 2008. The resort will open July 14, 2008. Reservations may be made after January 1, 2008.
